For this week's Mobile Testing report, I tested the website for the Boring Company. The Boring Company is an infrastructure and tunnel construction founded by Elon Musk. The company has all kinds of projects they proposed that would reduce traffic in major cities. Although all the projects haven't started yet, the company's website has a video that shows one of their successful projects in Los Angeles. It is a dream for the future.

For mobile testing, I recruited two participants to test the Boring Company website. The test focused on user-experience navigating the site to complete a specific task, website content, and design flows.
Participants
- Tester one: Female Project Manager with a bachelor's degree.
- Tester two: Male Sofware Engineer with a bachelor's degree.
Schedule and location
The test was conducted at a local coffee shop starting at 9 AM with each test lasting about 15 minutes. For this test, I also had users use their phones (both iPhone 8Plus).
Scenarios
- Navigate to the projects page
- Purchase a flamethrower
- Find FAQ page
Test summary
Task one: Proects Page

Task two: Purchase a Flamethrower

Task three: Naviagte to FAQ page

All the participants found the design well thought out with simple functionalities. All participants liked the colors and the content of the website, they also thought the project to be a smart idea. They all found the site to be responsive to mobile devices. All the testers completed their task right away, and they did not have any difficulties completing a specific task. All three testers found the video on the homepage engaging and most admitted that after watching it, they wanted to know more about this company. Although there were no flamethrowers for sale anymore, the testers thought it was a great way to keep users engaged and a great marketing tool to include.
Conclusion
When I gave these testers this website to test, all of the testers found themselves wanting to drill down on the content of the site. The website is well designed, and the content makes you want to explore more.
